Plaid wins . . . by a moist, cold nose. One reader put it best, “As stimulating as Rolando and Nikos appear, I vote for Plaid! What a cutie!” You can scratch him behind the ears at Plaid&Stripe on Wayland Avenue. Visiting dogs are always welcome in the store.

By more than 1,500 votes, 18-month-old Dorothy Lillian (Lilly) Smith-Neves, whose family owns Eastside Mart, takes the honor. The youngest of three, Lilly is often camped out behind the counter with a pile of Cheerios and a smile.
